My print is inspired by one of my favorite hobbies, fishing, which I practice almost every week. I chose this theme because it feels personal and calming. Fishing gives me a sense of peace, patience, and quiet achievement. Through the artwork, I wanted to show the natural environment where I usually fish and the stillness of sitting in a boat on the water.
In the print, I show myself sitting in a boat, wearing clothes similar to what I normally wear while fishing. I focused on simple details to express the atmosphere. Repeated symbols above the figure represent the passing of time and the thoughtful waiting that comes with fishing.
